One dress, Two Ways: Lulus.com

Dress, Floral Top, Purse: c/o Lulus, Shoes: Gianni Bini from Dillards
Warning: picture overload! I can't help it...this is my new favorite outfit! Thank you to my wonderful husband for taking these pictures for me (even though you hate doing it, haha).  Sometimes I feel like I am too old for clothing boutiques that cater to Juniors, but I think it really depends on the selection they offer.  Well, I found an online boutique called Lulus.com that I am officially in love with!

As I've said before, I love the challenge of putting together an outfit consisting of pieces that may not be modest all on their own.  The Walkabout Ivory Midi Dress was one of those items that I couldn't wear by itself, but I just knew it had potential!  There are two different options I came up with.  The first is this dress paired with the Tulle May Flowers Floral Print Top and the Little Brown Postal Purse. I LOVE this combo and think it is so classy and feminine.  I am so glad the dress came with a simple brown belt, cause it looks great wrapped around the top.
In the picture on the left you can see the outfit without a belt.  It is comfy and flowy, but I thought it made me look larger than I would like, so that was the only pic I included without the belt!
Here is the second way I found to style the dress.  I just HAD to show you the back, isn't it adorable?  I do have a cream colored undershirt that would match this dress perfectly, but the green top really shows the super cute detail! Oh, and I can't even begin to explain how much I adore these shoes.  They are the Soda Entree Fuschia Multi Raffia Rainbow Woven Ballet Flats (say that 3 times fast...haha) and as of right now they are on sale for only $15...such a great deal!  I feel like they will work with so many outfits and they can bring some much needed fun to my plain jean and t-shirt days.

You can use the promo code MODESTBEAUTY (case-sensitive) to get 15% off of your entire purchase at Lulus.com from now until July 6th!  It's valid for customers in the U.S. and Canada and is a one use per customer coupon.

So, what's the verdict?  Do you like this outfit as much as I do?  Would you do anything differently?  I totally forgot to put on any jewelry, so I might add a little bit of bling...but the top has so much detail, I wouldn't want to take away from it's prettiness (is that even a word?).

    1. Thank you so much! I LOVE simple belts...I actually need to get some more. I have seen a lot of great and cheap ones at Forever 21 lately.

  5. Wow, you really rocked that styling girl!!! I think I even love the second look best. I agree about lines that cater to a younger crowd, but you show that it doesn't have to be off-limits. Thanks for the inspiration, Jenny!

    1. Thanks Kristen! There are definitely still certain items that are more appropriate for the younger crowd, but it's all about how you put them together I think. Oh, and you know those earrings you are wearing in your post...I picked out the same ones, but just clear. Now I kinda wish I would have gone with the red!!!
