Sunday Style: Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone...I hope you all had a great day!  We got all dressed up for church, I ate a few too many carrot cake cupcakes, and my kids are now wired from all the sugar that found it's way into their Easter baskets.  I would say it was a good day!

It's time for the Sunday Style link-up.  Here are some of my favorites from last week:

Moiology
Rachel The Hat
Blondie Love
A Colourful Canvas

Now I want to see what you have been wearing lately!  As always, here are the rules:

1. Add your link to a specific outfit post, not your main blog page.
2. Grab a button and add it to your post (a text link is also fine).
3. Comment on this post and at least one other post...the whole point is to visit each other.
4. Follow my blog, so you can be reminded to link up next time!

Mustard and Gray

Top: c/o Sugarlips, Skirt: c/o Lulu's (loving this and this), Shoes: Target, Bracelets: Kohls

Mustard and gray is one of my favorite color combinations.  Yes, it's more of a Fall or Winter color combo...but I think this great shade of yellow works year round!  All you have to do is add a bright color or a floral print and...voilĂ , the mustard has transitioned into the new season!  Since it's still basically winter here, I think the gray works just fine.  I really love the details around the neck of this Sugarlips top...I didn't even need to put on a necklace!

Do you have any colors you wear all year long?

White and floral for a sunny day

Blazer: c/o SheInside, Floral Top: c/o SheInside, Jeans: Old Navy, Shoes: Gianni Bini (similar), Bracelet: Kohls (similar)

The Utah weather has been crazy lately.  One day it will be freezing and the next it will be sunny and warm!  I'm hoping the warm weather will be more frequent soon, because I love being able to spend time outside soaking up some vitamin D.  I'm just so much happier when the sun is out (isn't everyone?).

I'm pretty much in love with this silky floral print blouse from SheInside.  Wearing the shirt by itself I looked a little too much like an old lady, but paired with this blouse I think it looks fantastic!  Have you bought anything floral print lately?

Three Favorite Places by Casey from True Colours

Hi Plane Pretty readers!  I'm Casey from True Colours and I'm so excited to be guest posting today! My blog is about travel, my life growing up overseas in Saudi Arabia and everything in between that encompasses my life now: living in Portland and traveling with any chance I get.

When Jenny suggested I do a post on my top 3 favorite places that I've visited, I thought long and hard about what 3 places those would be.  I've visited many countries as well as a lot of places within the States and over the years I've seen some amazing cultures. So while there are many other places that aren't shown below that I love and would go back to in a heartbeat, you can check out those over on my blog.

But for today, I've shown you 3 of the places I've been that I've found the most interesting.  These are places that made me think about our world, places that I've fallen totally and completely in love with or places that touched me deeply.  All 3 are so different, but I think that makes them even more special. You'll see below why I chose each place for this post and how they each touched my traveling heart.

1.  Paris, France
If you take a look at my blog, it's no secret that I love Paris and have since I was a child.
It's a place that my husband and I go back to repeatedly (we try to at least once a year) and a place that will always have my heart.

2.  Marrakech, Morroco
After growing up in the Middle East, this was always a place I had high on my list to visit.  And it did not dissapoint.  Marrakech was a city that at once overwhelmed me and touched me deeply.  Maybe because it was my first time back to that area of the world since Saudi, or maybe it was the desert sun setting over the palm tree lined horizon or the call to prayer, but it was a place I'll never forget.

3.  Iceland
A top place on my husband's list to visit, we took an impromptu trip to Iceland last November and it was a place that will always have a special place in my heart.  We completely fell in love with this country and its incredible landscape. This was a place that truly left me breathless and that touched me deeply.

Manicure Monday: Hard Candy "Itsy Glitzy"

This week I have a few more Hard Candy colors to share with you.  These are from the "Itsy Glitzy" collection and I actually like these more than I liked the ones I shared last week.  Here they are:

This sparkly yellow polish is called "Shot of Lemon".  It's a vibrant shade of yellow, packed with fine glitter.  This was 2 coats, but I think it could have used a third coat.

This is "Little Hottie", a bright and bold hot-pink color.  It's a fun shade and feels really summery to me!  It was opaque in 2 coats.

The last color I have to share today is "Little Bo Pink".  This was my favorite and it's kind of hard to capture the true color.  There is some golden shimmer mixed in with the pink.  This one was also opaque in 2 coats.

The Hard Candy Collection retails for $3.97 and is only available at Walmart and Walmart.com.

(Product sent for review.  However, all opinions are my own.)
