Three Favorite Places by Casey from True Colours

Hi Plane Pretty readers!  I'm Casey from True Colours and I'm so excited to be guest posting today! My blog is about travel, my life growing up overseas in Saudi Arabia and everything in between that encompasses my life now: living in Portland and traveling with any chance I get.

When Jenny suggested I do a post on my top 3 favorite places that I've visited, I thought long and hard about what 3 places those would be.  I've visited many countries as well as a lot of places within the States and over the years I've seen some amazing cultures. So while there are many other places that aren't shown below that I love and would go back to in a heartbeat, you can check out those over on my blog.

But for today, I've shown you 3 of the places I've been that I've found the most interesting.  These are places that made me think about our world, places that I've fallen totally and completely in love with or places that touched me deeply.  All 3 are so different, but I think that makes them even more special. You'll see below why I chose each place for this post and how they each touched my traveling heart.

1.  Paris, France
If you take a look at my blog, it's no secret that I love Paris and have since I was a child.
It's a place that my husband and I go back to repeatedly (we try to at least once a year) and a place that will always have my heart.

2.  Marrakech, Morroco
After growing up in the Middle East, this was always a place I had high on my list to visit.  And it did not dissapoint.  Marrakech was a city that at once overwhelmed me and touched me deeply.  Maybe because it was my first time back to that area of the world since Saudi, or maybe it was the desert sun setting over the palm tree lined horizon or the call to prayer, but it was a place I'll never forget.

3.  Iceland
A top place on my husband's list to visit, we took an impromptu trip to Iceland last November and it was a place that will always have a special place in my heart.  We completely fell in love with this country and its incredible landscape. This was a place that truly left me breathless and that touched me deeply.

  1. I am ever envious. I've been to France for about two weeks when I was a senior in high school. It was an amazing experience that feels like yesterday. Life has changed and I haven't traveled, like at all. But this summer I am going to Miami and I will make traveling a new priority for me. I'd LOVE to see Iceland! Wonderful post :) I'm now following her.
