I have to admit, I am seriously lacking in the handbag department. I have always gotten along fine with one purse and didn't really take much interest in bags, until lately. I've learned that a cute bag can really pull an outfit together, so I've been on a hunt for the perfect one. Although I didn't comment on everyone's blogs, I did in fact visit every one of the 86 links that joined the party last week (86! That's so exciting you guys...let's see if we can beat that number this week!). I noticed some great handbags included in your cute outfits and here are a few of my favorites:
The Inspired Rose (Bag is Melie Bianco from DSW)
Sweet Serendipity (bag is thrifted)
The Fashion Canvas (Bag is Louis Vuitton, also worn by Kelsey here)
I am having serious bag envy right now. I want to try and save up some money to get a nice bag, but I can't decide if I want one really nice bag or a bunch of mediocre bags. I'm a cheap person, so my natural instinct is to gravitate toward the less expensive purses, but it might be nice to have something that would last longer than one season. Thoughts?
Well, it's time for you to share your latest outfits! Here are the rules:
1. Add your link to a specific outfit post, not your main blog page.
2. Grab a button and add it to your post (a text link is also fine).
3. Comment on this post and at least one other post...the whole point is to visit each other.
4. Follow my blog, so you can be reminded to link up next time!

I am salivating over that bag in the top pic (but it's sold out!). I like your themed round-up -- nice idea! :)

I'm will you, Jenny. I am not bag-savy either, so challenge received! Thanks for hosting, and Happy Sunday!
ReplyDeleteHi Jenny, thanks for hosting Sunday Style. I admit it; I'm a little obsessed with handbags. I love have several to choose from, and I buy them often from thrift stores.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your search! Thanks for visiting me last week,
Sue xo
I never have any luck at thrift stores, but I haven't tried in a while...maybe it's time for another trip to the thrift store :)
DeleteI am not a bag person either. I think I have a fear that if I have too many bags I will inevitable forget to transfer the most important things from one to the other when I change. I have a carry all. Or a canvas shopping bag. For obvious reasons I don't include those in shots. But I got a Fossil voucher for Xmas so now I have to make a very hard decision. Eek. Thanks for hosting!!
ReplyDeleteThat's the thing...I don't want to transfer all my stuff from one bag to another! It's too much work. I love Fossil, they have so many cute bags and watches :)
DeleteI love bags. Being a little over weight at the moment makes shopping for clothes difficult so bags and shoes are my go-to items when I go shopping. They never disappoint. I've been on the hunt for cute spring purses for a few weeks now.
ReplyDeleteWhen you say less expensive do you mine thrifted or Walmart? I have never spent more than $100 on a bag and have owned super cute ones that have lasted quite some time. The oldest purse I have at the moment is 6 years old. Only if I had so much money I didn't know what to do with would I buy a designer bag. I just can't justify spending that much money on a bag. My Favorite places to shop for bags are Ross, Burlington and Marshalls. You can find department store bags there for much less.

I usually get them at Target or Kohls. I don't think I've ever spent more than $50 on a bag. I do need to check out Ross!
DeleteOoh! I love the DSW bag! Stunning!

I must admit I am not one that would go buy a purse or a bag, but I would go with shoes. But man, with this post I am wanting one now. Like a really nice one that can last me a long time as well. Or I might want to hit the thrift store and score me something vintage. I love all the bags and they are all beautiful. :) Thanks for hosting!
ReplyDeleteagggh i don't have any handbags that i really really like. i'm looking for the perfect black one now. the only bad i use on a daily basis is my black school bag hahaha
ReplyDeleteI would also like a nice black bag, cause it can go with everything! If I end up buying a nice one it will either be brown or black, so I can use it a lot :)
Deleteoh loving all the bags! so cute! I need to wear more bags! :)
ReplyDeleteHahahahahahahahaha! Oh Kelsey. You DO NOT need more bags! I am so jealous of your cute purses. One day...sigh.
DeleteI love having a really fun handbag to add to me outfits. They do bring it all together and complete the look. Great inspiration pieces.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!

Love your choices Jenny! I always forget to add bags in my outfit posts, I forget how important it is! Now that I am out of the diaper bag phase I should focus on it more!

LOVE it all!!! i have one bag and one bag only..... a charlotte russe purse that was like 15 bucks i've had for over a year and a half!!! i need to invest in a nicer sturdier one!
ReplyDeletecute bags
ReplyDeleteLove the bags! I have a Louis Vuitton speedy in brown that I use ALL the time! It handles my crazy lifestyle very well! I should change bags more often but I just love the one I have. Plus, you get what you pay for. More expensive bags are great quality and last for a loong time. They cheaper ones are usually great, but they don't last as long. At least that's what I've found. Good luck finding one!

ReplyDeleteLooking forward to discovering more wonderfully stylish ladies!
xoxo
Jenny, I am totally honored and flattered that you liked my purse! I really love your blog and I am was so thrilled to be "featured" on your link up! Totally made my day! hehe
ReplyDeleteChelsea @ The Inspired Rose
I pretty much just use one handbag too. I've realized like you that it's time to get a few more. Nothing wrong with mixing it up a bit.
ReplyDeleteMethod Clothe
Hi, Jenny! Thanks for making this possible!
ReplyDeleteI've given up on big bags. They've gotten so big that they are now large enough to qualify as carry-on luggage. And the bigger the purse, the more reasons to carry half of what you own!
I'm now only wearing crossbody bags. They hold my wallet, keys, lipstick and compact. I've discovered I really don't need anything else!
Excited to finally link up here - you have such a lovely blog! Thanks so much for hosting:)
ReplyDeleteOh my heck you're too sweet! Thank you so much for featuring me. That handbag, to this day, has been a favorite thrifting find. It's just unique. Thanks again, love all the other ladies handbags, how fun!
ReplyDeleteUsing the competitive choices in colour, style and pattern of Celine handbags, making a decision is generally a complex task.
ReplyDeleteI love the bags! I have the LV bag! Great choices!

They are all great bags! I'm usually the type the buys a bunch of cheaper bags - I'm far too indecisive to spend a lot on one bag.
ReplyDeleteI have a bag obsession to me they are look shoes and definitely make or break an outfit, great options you Showed!
ReplyDeleteGreat bags! I love the thrifted one!
