Dare to Bare with Nivea: $150 Shopbop Giveaway!

The last couple weeks I have been trying out Nivea's new Skin Firming Hydration Body Lotion with Q10.  Several bloggers were chosen to participate in the "Dare to Bare Challenge".  We were told to simply incorporate the lotion into our daily beauty routine for two weeks and monitor our skins appearance during this time.  Today I get to share my opinions about the product!  Check out my review, as well as the amazing giveaway at the bottom of the post!

Dress: Karma Boutique, Jacket: Levis (similar), Shoes: Target, Watch: c/o Feral Watches, Beaded Bracelets: Made Myself, Gold Spike Cluster Bracelet: c/o SiraMara

I should start off by saying that I'm really lazy about applying body lotion, so putting lotion on for two weeks straight was a struggle, BUT...my skin looooved it!!  I hate when lotion is greasy, leaves your skin sticky or oily for over 10 minutes, or has an overpowering scent.  Luckily that was not the case with this Nivea lotion!  My skin devoured the stuff immediately, the lotion was light and the smell was actually pleasant.  After two weeks my skin really is noticeably softer/smoother and it actually feels a bit tighter than it was before! I don't know if it looks more toned (maybe if I would actually get some exercise...), but I do love the results and I will definitely keep using this lotion.  If only I would have started using it two weeks BEFORE going to Aruba...I might have felt a little more comfortable in my swimsuit!

Nivea sent me a Shopbop gift card to buy a new dress that would show off my firmer and more moisturized skin, but I just haven't found the right one yet!  Here are three options under $150 that I'm kind of loving...what do you think??
BB Dakota // Diane von Furstenberg // Velvet

I'm sorry if you guys are sick of giveaways, but I really don't think you will want to miss this one!  Nivea is giving away a 13.5 oz. bottle of their new Skin Firming Hydration Body Lotion, along with a $150 Shopbop gift card! You must be 18 or over and have a U.S. shipping address to be eligible.  The giveaway will run through June 7th, 2013.  Just enter using the Rafflecopter widget below! And when you are done make sure to enter the Uncommon Goods giveaway, if you haven't already!

May Sponsor Spotlight

Today I have the opportunity to share two beautiful ladies with you today.  They are two of my lovely sponsors: Victoria from Fashion Flirtation and Caroline from Lilla Rose.  I asked them to tell me about their favorite vacation and this is what they had to say:

Blog | Facebook | Instagram
"The best vacation that I have ever been on, was in fact my honeymoon. The hubs and I went to Disneyland [my favorite place in the whole world] and it was amazing. The atmosphere at Disneyland is always so happy and exciting, and plus, as newlyweds we were already on cloud nine. It was the best vacation we've ever been on, and we often reminisce on how perfect it was!" ~Victoria

"My favorite vacation was my honeymoon! We didn't do anything super fancy, we rented a Bed and Breakfast several hours away near state parks, and just spent several days hiking in state parks and unwinding from the business of getting ready for the wedding. We have since gone back to that same Bed and Breakfast several times and it is always wonderful to get away!" ~ Caroline

These two ladies would love to meet you, so please go visit them...I'm sure you won't be disappointed!

A Splash Party and an Uncommon Goods Giveaway!

Last week my friend Catherine told me about a Splash Party that the Riverwoods was having, to celebrate the opening of their splash pads.  I thought it sounded like fun, so we went to Cafe Zupas for lunch, then headed on over.  It was so busy!  I wasn't expecting that many kids to show up for some reason (it's Utah County, so I'm not sure why I was surprised)...but the kids had a blast and the weather was perfect!

Sometimes you just have to use a beach ball as a pillow.
She really wanted to learn how to hula hoop.

After all the excitement we went home and I had a special surprise for my daughter.  Matching necklaces from Uncommon Goods!  Here's the thing...my little girl and I are both really lazy.  I'm not saying that it's a good thing, but that's just the way we are.  Even when she was a baby she would sleep in until eleven with me and it was the best thing ever!  So, I call her my sloth baby...and when I saw these mother/daughter sloth necklaces, I knew they were meant for us!

She loves her new sloth necklace and so do I.  I might even have to wear it in an outfit post soon!

Uncommon Goods has so many cute and unique gift ideas!  Right now there is a great selection of Father's Day gifts (found here), as well as gifts under $50 (found here).  Today you all have the chance to win a $50 gift certificate to this great site!  This giveaway will run through June 5, 2013 and is only open to readers with a U.S. shipping address.  Just enter using the Rafflecopter widget below.  Good luck!

Aruba, Part One: Mangel Halto Beach and Pos Chiquito

I finally had some time to sit down and go through the pictures I took on our family vacation in Aruba.  I'm really sad, because all the pictures I took with my underwater camera are now lost forever (thanks Olympus for making an underwater camera that apparently can't handle being underwater...)!  I took a really cool picture of an eel that I was SO excited to share, as well as a ton of other great pics, but I guess I will just have to mourn their loss and move on.  Sad.

Anyway, Aruba was super fun!  We stayed in an apartment in a small town called Pos Chiquito, which is south of the main touristy areas.  It was nice to have the beach pretty much all to ourselves, and there was some decent snorkeling if you went far enough out.  Apparently it's a really great place to scuba dive, because you can find octopus, squid and other fun creatures...I really need to get scuba certified!  Although I enjoyed the more laid back location, I kind of wish we had stayed near all the action up in Eagle/Palm Beach.  I would've liked to be closer to the restaurants and shops, but luckily taking the bus was really easy and fairly inexpensive, so we were still able to get around.  The people of Aruba are all extremely friendly and willing to help.  One of my favorite memories of the trip was when my daughter fell asleep next to a lady on the bus and the lady just put an arm around her to keep her comfortable...it was the sweetest thing!

Here are some pictures of our time in Pos Chiquito and Mangel Halto Beach:

There were a lot of pretty cacti everywhere...you had to be careful to watch where you were walking!
The mangroves were beautiful!
Every night the kids wanted to go in the "hot" tub...it was actually more of a "lukewarm" tub, haha.
The Aruba Sunset

More Aruba pictures to come!  Have you been to this lovely island?  If not, do you have a favorite place in the Caribbean?

Manicure Monday and Happy Memorial Day!

Happy Memorial Day! I wish I would've had time to create some fun patriotic nail art, but I'm on a 4 day work trip, so there just isn't time for that!  But I do love this Butter London manicure I'm wearing today. The base color is "Champers" and the glitter accent color is "Bit Faker" (which I am kind of obsessed with!). I sure do love my Butter London nail polish...it's my favorite!

My Mom sent me some photos from her visit to my Grandpa and Grandma's grave site today. Since it's a military cemetery (my Grandpa retired with the Air Force), they set up flags for each space. It's so beautiful in person and I wish I could have been there, but I'm glad my Mom sent me the pictures.

Sunday Style: Summer Shades

The sun is starting to make an appearance more frequently across the country and last week was proof that people are taking advantage of the nicer weather!  I saw a lot of cute sunglasses that I loved and here are a few of my favorites:

Ladies in Navy
Style Elixir
Thrift and Shout

I absolutely LOVE the sunshine, so seeing all of these sunglasses makes me really excited for Summer!  I have several pairs on my wish list...it's just so hard to narrow it down!

When I first laid eyes on this elephant top I immediately knew I had to buy it...it makes me smile when I look at it!  I've always adored these large and magnificent animals, so having elephants printed all over a piece of clothing seems like a great choice.  What are your favorite prints right now?

Albion Fit swimsuit giveaway!

Aruba was such a blast and I will try to share some more pictures tomorrow, but today I have something you are all going to love!  Do you like my new swimsuit?  Would you like the chance to win it? Of course you would!

When Albion Fit, a boutique that sells cute workout clothing, contacted me about doing a review and giveaway I was a little nervous.  I'm not the most "fit" person and I don't love exercise as much as I should (or at all for that matter), BUT once I saw their line of swimsuits I was so excited!  I fell in love with this suit immediately...the black and white stripes with the red bow (In these pictures I just wrapped it around instead of actually tying the bow, but it's super cute either way) is the perfect nautical look and I knew I needed it for my Aruba vacation.  It fit perfectly, had a lot of support and was comfortable in the water, as well as out of the water.

Albion Fit is giving away this exact swimsuit to one of you lucky readers...we can be swimsuit twins!  The giveaway will run through May 27th, 2013 and is open to readers with a U.S. shipping address.  Note: You MUST do all 3 mandatory entries in order to win.  Just enter using the rafflecopter widget below and make sure to check out Albion's great women's fitness and swimwear options...make sure to use the promo code planepretty15 to save $15 off any purchase of $50 or more (through 5/23/13).

P.S. This is what happens when Jenny gets some sun...

Yup, that sunburn is peeling now.
