Casual Summer

Kimono: c/o Lulu's, Shirt: Boden, Jeans: Paige Denim, Sandals: c/o Lulu's, Necklace: c/o SiraMara, Bracelet: c/o J.Jill

An actual outfit post? Wow, it sure has been a while!  Honestly, I've been super casual so far this summer and I just haven't felt like many of my outfits have been worthy of documenting.  But one thing I definitely can't get enough of lately is this white kimono from Lulu's.  Unfortunately, this particular item is now sold out, but they have a whole section of their website dedicated to super cute kimonos...I think I need a few more!

I'm also obsessing over this J.Jill bracelet.  The combination of turquoise stones, silver coins and leather cord gives off a great boho vibe that I love.  It's definitely matching the casual, laid-back style I've got going on recently!

What's your go-to summer style?  Do you like to get all dressed up, or do you prefer to keep it casual like I do?

France, Day Five.

I'm finally getting around to sharing the pictures from our last day in France!  We had the opportunity to visit the site of the Invasion of Normandy and it was absolutely incredible.  I mean, I really don't have words to describe this place.

France, Day Four.

Kimono: c/o Lulu's (also love these kimonos), Shirt: H&M (old), Jeans: Henry & Belle, Sandals: Birkenstock, Hat: Target

Our fourth day in France was probably my favorite.  We traveled up to the Normandy region and visited a beautiful place called Mont St-Michel.  A gorgeous Benedictine Abbey sits on top of a little  island and at the base of the rocky hill sits a tiny village (only 44 people live there).  Mont St-Michel was a very popular pilgrimage site, but approaching the island was no easy feat for the pilgrims, because of the extremely quick tides and quicksand in the bay!

Father's Day Gift Ideas and a $100 Kohls Giveaway!

Fathers Day, Golf Gifts

1 // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5 // 6

It's almost time for Father's Day and (as usual) I have waited until last minute to find gifts...anyone else?  I thought it would be fun to come up with some gift ideas for all of those golfing Dads out there, since there are so many men who love to golf these days!  My husband always wears these Grand Slam polo shirts, so I knew they must be included.  And how cute are these little golf ball cuff links?! I really think they would make the most perfect and thoughtful gift for any guy who enjoys the sport.  Kohls has even put together their own golf gift guide, so be sure to check that out too!

France, Day Three.

Skirt: c/o Lulu's, Shirt: Target, Jacket: RVCA c/o Lulu's, Watch: Michael Kors, Tote: Big Buddha, Sandals: Blowfish c/o Lulus

On the third day of our trip we hopped on a tour bus and headed to the beautiful Chartres Cathedral, which was about 50 miles SW of Paris.  The beautiful architecture was very similar to that of the Notre Dame Cathedral.  It had gorgeous stained glass windows, with each panel telling a different story from the Bible.  Interesting fact: All of the stained glass pieces were carefully removed in 1939, right before the Germans invaded France.  Another interesting fact: The Chartres Cathedral was ordered to be destroyed, because it was thought to be occupied by German troops.  However, one of the American soldiers, Welborn Griffith, questioned the need to destroy the cathedral without any evidence, so he volunteered to go behind enemy lines to find out if it was truly occupied.  It turns out the cathedral was clear of enemies, so the order was reversed.
