Sunday Style Link-Up: Dressy Dressy

Here are a few dressy outfits from last week's link-up that I loved:

Don't these ladies look lovely in their dressy attire? I can't wait to see what you are wearing this week. As always, here are the rules:

1. Add the link to your specific outfit post, not your main blog page.
2. Grab a button and add it to your post (a text link is also fine).
3. Comment on this post and someone else's post...the whole point is to visit each other.
4. Follow my blog, so you can be reminded to link up next time!

Purple Midi

Skirt: c/o Choies, Denim Shirt: Old Navy, Bag: Kate Spade, Shoes: Target (old), Sunglasses: H&M (recent in store), Watch: Nixon c/o

I can't get enough of full midi skirts lately and how fun is the purple color of this one from Choies?!  The length, combined with the fullness of this style, makes the skirt so feminine and pretty.  I love that longer hemlines are on trend right now...not only because I don't wear short skirts, but also because I think everyone looks so much classier in them!

What are your thoughts on the full midi skirt? Yay or nay?

Sunday Style Link-Up: Happy Spring

Since the first day of Spring was only a few days ago, I wanted to feature some bright and colorful Spring outfits from last week...these colorful clothes just make me so happy (and so does the sunshine that we've been having).

Ok, let's see what everyone is wearing this week...Here are the rules:

1. Add the link to your specific outfit post, not your main blog page.
2. Grab a button and add it to your post (a text link is also fine).
3. Comment on this post and someone else's post...the whole point is to visit each other.

Stepping into Spring

Dress: BCBGeneration c/o Zappos, Denim Jacket: Old Navy, Bag: Rebecca Minkoff c/o Zappos, Shoes: Target, Bracelet: Handmade, Watch: Michael Kors

Today is officially the second day of Spring and so far I'm loving the new season!  I've teamed up with Zappos to share my version of the perfect Spring outfit, which consists of this BCBGeneration knife-pleat dress, this gorgeous Rebecca Minkoff MAB Tote Mini and a jean jacket to top it off.  I think these colors are so lovely together and I know that my adorable mint bag will be worn a ton this Spring and Summer!

I love that the sun has been warming things up a bit, so I can bring out all of my dresses and skirts! What are you the most excited to wear this Spring?

Dressy Hawaiian

Skirt: Express, Shirt: c/o Lulu's, Shoes: Target (LOVE these), Bag: Kate Spade (similar style), Necklace: c/o Wild Butterfly Boutique, Gold Bracelet: c/o SiraMara

Sometimes I look around in my closet and try to put things together that I wouldn't normally wear.  This Hawaiian shirt from Lulu's and this full midi skirt from Express are complete opposites, but at the same time the contrast of the pieces is what makes this outfit so fun!  Fashion is all about taking risks, right?  You will never know if you like something unless you try it, so I encourage all of you to try wearing something out of your comfort zone...you might end up finding a new style you love!

Sunday Style: Denim Jackets

The jean jacket is one of my favorite layering pieces in the Spring.  In fact, I just bought a new one that I'll be wearing in an outfit post later this week...be sure to come back and check it out!  I loved the denim jacket outfits that these lovely bloggers put together and shared during last week's link-up:

Don't they look great in their jean jackets?  It's such an easy way to make dresses and shirts more modest, or just to add an extra layer for warmth! Ok, let's see what you all are wearing this week...Here are the rules:

1. Add the link to your specific outfit post, not your main blog page.
2. Grab a button and add it to your post (a text link is also fine).
3. Comment on this post and someone else's post...the whole point is to visit each other.

Hearts and Flowers and Braids, Oh My!

Skirt: Express, Heart Tee: c/o Style Lately, Shoes: Aerosoles (similar), Bag: Rebecca Minkoff MAB Tote, Sunglasses: Nordstrom

Maybe there is too much going on in this outfit...but you know what? The sun was shining, it was warm outside and boy was it glorious! So, I threw on some clothes to match my happy mood...who says you can't wear flowers and hearts at the same time? Sometimes I think it's best to simply wear what makes you feel good.

P.S. How perfect is this floral midi skirt? I tried to find it in my local Express store, but apparently it's been flying off the shelves...so I ordered it online and I'm so glad I did.  I can't wait to wear it with a dressy blouse!

Tie Dye Casual

Jacket: Kohls (similar), TieDye Blouse: Patrons of Peace c/o PBJ Boutique, Jeans: Paige Denim, Bag: Tory Burch (same bag, new Spring colors), Boots: Franco Sarto (similar), Sunglasses: Target, Ring: c/o InPink, Earrings: c/o Style Lately

Back in the 60s and 70s you could only find tie-dye shirts in psychedelic patterns, with all the bright colors of the rainbow...but times have changed (obviously).  Now tie-dye clothing comes in various styles and colors, which makes it easy for anyone to wear.  I love the versatility of this blouse, because I can wear it casual, or dress it up (like in this post).

Did any of you ever make tie-dye shirts when you were a kid?  I vaguely remember doing so, but I kind of want to try it again!

Sunday Style: Winter Florals

Last week there were so many outfits I loved, but since I'm obsessed with floral prints I decided to showcase these three outfits:

Please tell me I'm not the only one who is overly attached to floral prints.  Every time I go shopping I have to stop myself from buying more floral items, because my closet is already filled with them and I should probably have a little more variety to my outfits...they are just so pretty!  Anyway, I love how these ladies styled their flowery pieces.

Ok, let's see what you all are wearing this week...Here are the rules:

1. Add the link to your specific outfit post, not your main blog page.
2. Grab a button and add it to your post (a text link is also fine).
3. Comment on this post and someone else's post...the whole point is to visit each other.
