Feeling Grateful.

On him ~ T-Shirt: Target, Plaid Shirt: c/o Cherokee, Jeans: Levis, Shoes: c/o Cherokee
On her ~ Chambray Shirt: GAP Kids, Sweatshirt: c/o Cherokee, Jeans: Vigoss (similar), Shoes: c/o Cherokee

Honestly, I don't know how I got so lucky.  I sometimes wonder why Heavenly Father put so much trust in me and sent me these beautiful, smart, kind-hearted children to raise.  I'm definitely not winning any mother-of-the-year awards or anything, but I'm constantly trying to be better...so that counts for something, right?  Anyway, I'm just so grateful that I was blessed with these two kids.  They teach me so much and fill my heart with more love than I ever thought was humanly possible.  Sure, they can drive me crazy every once in a while, but I can't imagine my life without them.

Ever since I got a new camera, I've been trying to work on my photography skills.  It's always been a passion of mine, but I have no plans of doing it professionally...it's just fun!  Luckily these two enjoy going out on little adventures while I take pictures and they love posing for the camera.  When Cherokee asked if they could send my kids some cute clothes to wear, I simply couldn't resist.  It's actually one of the few clothing brands I purchase on a regular basis for my children (their clothes are sold at Target), so I can say with certainty that I love their affordable, stylish and durable items.

I hope you enjoy these pictures from our little photo shoot adventure!

Winter Pastels

Cardigan: JCrew, Sequin Top: Kohls (old), Skirt: Target (old), Shoes: Target, Bag: Tory Burch, Necklace: Heather Belle (on sale here), Beaded Bracelet: Handmade, Braided Bracelet: c/o Ettika, Spike Bracelet: c/o Ettika

There is just something about pastels in the winter that is so beautiful.  This season always leaves me feeling a little blah, so it's nice to bring some color into my outfits and these soft hues do just the trick.  My favorite part of this outfit is definitely my new bracelets from Ettika.  I don't usually do a lot of layering with my bracelets, but it's a look that I definitely love and now I'm craving more of these gorgeous pieces. If you want to get your own Ettika jewelry, you can use code EXCL25 for 25% off your purchase!

Time flies when you're having fun.

On him- Shirt: c/o Cherokee, Jeans: Levis
On me- Shirt: c/o PBJ Boutique, Jeans: Lucky Brand, Earrings: Jules Smith c/o Favery

Lately, I feel like time has been flying by.  My kids are growing up so fast and some days it makes me really sad, because I love the stage they are at right now.  Next year my son will start kindergarten, which means both of my kids will be in school every day.  I used to think I would be so excited to have a bunch of time to myself each day, but now I'm not so sure.  This little guy is so funny...he is always putting a smile on my face and keeping me entertained.  I'm going to make an effort to really enjoy the few hours we have to ourselves each day, because I know I'll be missing this precious time with him once Autumn rolls around.

Yesterday we spent our time taking care of our skin, with some healing ointment that Aquaphor sent us.  Winter has left the two of us with dry skin and being on an airplane so frequently seems to dry mine out even more.  Since Aquaphor is an ointment, instead of a lotion, it doesn't soak in super fast.  However, I feel like it does a better overall job of repairing the dry skin.  My skin certainly felt moisturized for a longer period of time than when I use regular lotion.  I'm thinking this is going to be a daily ritual from now on, at least until winter is over!  My little guy also loved using his own special ointment and he made sure to rub some onto a scrape he acquired while chasing his sister with a giant tree branch (boys will be boys I guess).

If you are interested in trying out this great product, you can find it for sale on Amazon.  Also, make sure to check out the Aquaphor Facebook Page, because they are always sharing tips and deals...right now there is even a coupon for $1.50 off, so make sure to check that out!

The Sunday Style Link-up Returns!

Dress: Anthropologie (love this and this), Shirt: Old Navy, Shoes: c/o Juil, Tights: Target, Necklace: Borrowed (similar), Watch: Nixon (c/o WatchCo)

I've been debating the idea of bringing back my Sunday Style link-up for a while now.  I really enjoyed finding new blogs and getting inspired by the fabulous outfits that other bloggers shared each week.  Well, I'm happy to report that Sunday Style is making a comeback!

Today's outfit is girly and feminine.  I'm really loving full dresses and skirts lately, because they really accentuate the waist and give off a dramatic effect.  I was worried that I wouldn't get a lot of use out of this Anthropologie dress, since it's pretty fancy on it's own, but the denim shirt gives it a more casual vibe that I love!  I also adore these wingtip ballet flats from Juil.  Besides being comfy and cute, they have copper dots on the bottom of the shoes, which help absorb the Earth's electrons and rid your body of free radicals...basically, it's the next best thing to being barefoot.  I found the concept really interesting and you can read more about it here if you want.

Ok, I'm super duper excited to see your outfits!  Here are the rules:

1. Add the link to your specific outfit post, not your main blog page.
2. Grab a button and add it to your post (a text link is also fine).
3. Comment on this post and someone else's post...the whole point is to visit each other.
4. Follow my blog, so you can be reminded to link up next time!
