There is just something about pastels in the winter that is so beautiful. This season always leaves me feeling a little blah, so it's nice to bring some color into my outfits and these soft hues do just the trick. DeleteDarling! I'm not usually one for pastels, but in the early spring, like right now, I think they are the best types of colors to wear! Okay, maybe it's still winter, but I'm dying for spring, which is why these spring colors look AMAZING.
ReplyDeleteI'm the same way! I'm more of a jewel tones type of girl, so Fall is more my thing...but I don't mind pastels too much in the winter/spring. I'm also soooo ready for the warm weather!

ReplyDeleteI love that outfit. Your hair color looks amazing with those pastels. I commented on your hair awhile back and I wanted to ask you one more question if you don't mind. I am attempting to get mine that color. You told me before what you use and that your hair was previously colored before dyeing it red. Did you have to strip out the color that was already in your hair or did you just put in on your hair while the other color was in it? I keep reading that color won't lift color, but the product that you mentioned using seems to do so according to the reviews that I have read on it. Also, how do you handle the roots when they start to come in? Do you just color them or do you color your whole head? Thanks for putting up with all my questions. I really love your blog.

I'm so sorry, I meant to reply to your last comment and totally forgot! I know that it's recommended to strip the color first, but I just put it on my hair with the other color in it, which worked for me. Obviously everyone's hair is different, so I can't guarantee it will work for you. When my roots grow in I dye my whole head, but start with the roots and then work my way to the ends. The red does fade, as I'm sure you've probably read about, so in between my regular dye jobs I will sometimes refresh it once with a demi-permanent dye. I use Pravana Chromasilk Vivids in Red, but you need a beauty license to buy it (or have someone with a license buy it for you). You can also use Manic Panic, but I never have, so I can't really comment on how that works. And as far as what people said when I first did it...I have never had so many compliments on my hair. I was surprised, because many of the nice comments came from elderly women...the ones I thought would think I was crazy! In fact, the only person who has ever said anything negative about my hair is my mom...haha. Anyway, I hope this helps a little bit :)
