Jacket: c/o Sugarlips, Skirt: Kohls, Shoes: Target, Bracelet: Kohls (old) |
Spaghetti and meatballs. Milk and cookies. Peanut butter and jelly. Leather and lace? Yup, I think it's the perfect combination of differing textures and I'm loving this look for Fall! I had been looking for a modest leather skirt for a while, so when I found this little beauty on sale at Kohls, I knew it was meant to be.
There are so many ways to wear a leather pencil skirt...I'm going to try to put together a few different outfits to show the various options. Today I wanted to pair it with lace, so I wore it with the adorable "Clemence, You Doll Jacket" from Sugarlips Apparel. I can't wait to create another outfit with the skirt...I already have it planned out!
I also have to throw in this picture, because I look so happy...It makes me smile just looking at it!
Do you have any leather in your wardrobe?
I love those two together!! I have a leather jacket but that's it!
ReplyDeleteThis is probably my favorite look I've ever seen on you, ever! You just look soooo put together. You go girlfriend.
ReplyDeleteAwww, thanks Daryl! I think it's my new favorite too...I never thought I would wear a leather skirt, haha :)
DeleteOk, that skirt is HAWT!!! I might have to go get me one :D
ReplyDeleteUmmm, Bri...you already have enough clothes for a small village! You should totally get one though, cause you'd look great in it :)
DeleteThis Blazer is adorable! Love the way you paired it with leather...

hey Jenny! I got my Julep kit today. FOR ONE CENT. Thanks for the discount code!
ReplyDeleteYay, best deal ever! Just make sure you remember to cancel if you don't want to keep getting them...I always forget to cancel things like that, haha.
DeleteSuper cute! And yes, leather and lace goes together like pb&jelly :) I love that the feminine lace balances the edgy leather. Balance is everything! And I own some leather leggings that I loooooove! I will definitely be pairing them with lace!

Thanks Katie! I have been contemplating the leather leggings, but I just can't decide...is it weird for a mom of two kids to be wearing those?
DeleteNice.
ReplyDeleteI do have to say I am loving this outfit. Makes me think of fall in some weird way. You really make me want to post my fashion idea.
ReplyDeleteCody
Thanks Cody! You should post it :)
DeleteOh my goodness...normally I wouldn't think of leather and classy in the same statement, but you've proven me wrong! I absolutely LOVE everything about this outfit...truly! The only leather I own now are boots and belts haha, but now I'm wondering if I shouldn't try to find a leather skirt...awesome:)
ReplyDeleteOh good, I'm glad it came off as classy...I am always worried about that, especially since I am a mom! Thanks Randi :)

DeleteI love the leather and lace look! I don't have any yet...but my sister just found a full length leather skirt at Salvation Army and bought it...and told me she might give it to me since it's a tad too short on her. So I've got my fingers crossed!
ReplyDeleteI will keep my fingers crossed for you too!

wait wait wait. I thought you didn't like the leather skirt trend!
ReplyDeleteNo, I said I didn't like the pleated leather skirt! But you said you can't wear pencil skirts. And I probably said that I didn't think leather would look good on me or something. Or maybe I did say I didn't like it...who knows? Haha...I can't be trusted :)
DeleteI Love lace and leather! I know right? I wish I had an old school jacket too.
