I decided to redesign the blog, because I wanted a more classy and simple look. I know nothing about blog design or html, so it took forever to look up how to do everything, but I think it turned out alright. It probably would have been worth it to pay someone to design it, but:
a) I am cheap
b) I learned a lot in the process
So, what do you think? Anyone have any constructive criticism? Please go easy on me...remember this is my first time doing this kind of thing!

I love the font, colors and design! Great job! I like on the right hand side there are different fonts for email, pinterest, twitter, etc
ReplyDeleteLOVE!! Looks great!
ReplyDeleteI love the new colors. I'm hosting a bloglovin' blog hop until sunday and would love it if you would join in. www.thenymelrosefamily.blogspot.com/2012/02/bloglovin-blog=hop.html
ReplyDeleteThanks so much you guys!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I like the colors and the simplicity. My only criticism would be that the tab buttons are a bit strangely shaped. Overall it is very professional and simple to navigate! Perhaps you could share some pointers?
ReplyDeleteI love your design! You did a FANTASTIC job, especially since it's your first time. I have a love/hate realationship with HTML.
ReplyDeleteMy personal opinion, the page tabs are a bit too big, by making them smaller, you would help people focus more on the logo, than the pages. Again though, you did a great job!

I think it's beautiful! Good job! I'm impressed AND computer illiterate! Wow you rock some awesome computer skilz girl!!!
ReplyDeleteI think it's great. I didn't see it before, as I'm a new follower but I think it's pretty!
ReplyDeleteJust a few months ago I had felt the same way, I wanted an update to mine. I used Liz at Sweet Simplicity Designs to do a Blogger re-design and it was much cheaper than doing a whole overhaul of my site, (under $100) but it was exactly what I was looking for. I'm a new follower from Blogoholics, love your site!

Ok, I made the page tabs a bit smaller and I think it does look better that way! Thanks for the nice comments everyone!
ReplyDeleteIt looks GREAT! Very clean and I LOVE the colors! I do have a question for you though (from one person who won't hire anyone to another, LOL!), how do you create the scroll box for the button code? (and insert the code as well?)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful update!
Elsha Rae and Dani, I e-mailed you the answers to your questions :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks great, Jenny!
ReplyDeleteFor your first time, you've certainly made it look really good.
I'm a blog designer, and I have some really easy tutorials if you ever need help or a way to spice things up more :)
