Manicure Monday: China Glaze "Tranzitions"

China Glaze just came out with a fun new collection, called "Tranzitions", that darkens the color when you add a top coat...it's kind of like getting two nail polishes in one!  There are 6 colors in this collection and I have 3 to show you today.  Each of these colors was opaque in only one coat, which was really nice!

First up is "Duplicityy".  This is a mint green that turns teal when the topcoat is applied.  I like both colors, although when I added the topcoat the teal color turned out a bit uneven.  It might be because I didn't let the base coat dry long enough.

"Altered Reality" is a metallic teal color, which becomes a slightly darker teal with the topcoat applied.  There really wasn't much of a difference on these and it's one of those polishes that shows every little imperfection...but I do really like the color.

Lastly, we have "Matallic Metamorphosis".  This was definitely my favorite!  It starts out as a light gray, then becomes a dark metallic gray.  I love both the light and dark gray and you can really see the difference on this one.

I thought it would be fun to do an ombre / gradient manicure with these colors and I like the way it turned out.  I really want to try making stripes, polka dots or another design using the topcoat!

China Glaze "Tranzitions" will be available in stores this month.

  1. That's a cool idea to have them darken in color! How fun! I love the mint and the grey.
