China Glaze nail polish recently released a new collection called "Cirque du Soleil: Worlds Away". I'm so excited to share swatches of some of these fun colors for Manicure Monday!
This bright blue creme polish is "Hanging in the Balance". This is a fun color that would be great in Spring/Summer! It was opaque in two coats and was easy to apply.
This is "Igniting Love". It's a red creme, with a hint of orange. I know I have said I'm not a huge fan of red polish, but I have to admit...the color is starting to grow on me. This was opaque in two coats.
"Bend Over Backwards" is pretty similar in color to "Igniting Love", but it's a red shimmer. It wasn't super sparkly (more of a subtle shimmer), but it was pretty and had good coverage in two coats.
"Get Carried Away" was the polish that I was most excited about. The big red and silver hex glitters and black bar glitters are so fun! However, the consistency left something to be desired. I tried doing just one coat over "Ignited Love" and it didn't look too great, so I swatched this color by itself (using three coats). It was pretty thick and clumpy, making it hard to get the glitters even. Maybe thinning out the polish would help. But I still really love the look of these chunky glitters in the black base!
My favorite color in the collection is "Water You Waiting For". Its a sparkly blue base packed full of blue and green glitters! The formula on this polish was great and it was opaque in two coats, but looked best with three.
There are 7 other colors in the Cirque du Soleil: Worlds Away collection: "Whirled Away" (chunky black and white glitter), "It's A Trap-eze" (multi-colored glitter in a white base), "Escaping Reality" (bright pink), "Surreal Appeal" (coral creme), "Def Defying" (bright green creme), "Running In Circles" (green shimmer), and "Creative Fantasy" (a bright purple creme. I also have this one, but the pictures didn't turn out...so I will have to show you that one in another post!).
This collection is available at Sally Beauty Supply and ULTA, as well as salons and other specialty beauty retailers. They retail for $7 each.
