After reviewing a box from Julep Maven, I decided to sign up for the membership. I really love the quality of the nail polish and the idea of getting different nail polishes sent to me each month is so much fun! When I received my intro box I knew I wanted to do some kind of nail "art" with the 3 colors...I'm pretty much in love with owls, so I tried painting a couple on my nails. Let's just say I am no artist, haha. But I think you can kinda tell what they are, right?
The base color is Julep Daphne, which is a seafoam greenish-blue creme polish. The polka dots and parts of the owls are a khaki colored creme polish named Otte. The owl beaks are a color called Delaunay, which is an orange-ish red creme. I love each of these colors and they are all super opaque...each of them really only needed one coat for full coverage, which is always fantastic!
I can't wait to get my November Julep box in the mail. Just so you know, you can sign up for the Julep Maven program using promo code MODERNMODESTBEAUTY to get your first box for just a penny (plus shipping).
What's on your nails this week?

I love owls and all of these colours. I'm not great at regularly painting my nails, but am tempted to try this during some down time. Xx

VERY CREATIVE MISSY!!!!!!! I dont know how you got your routine down for these new nails but I always look forward to seeing these!! XOXOXO
ReplyDeleteFor all your modesty here, I think you did a fantastic job with the owls. I mean, seriously, you had to paint one set of owls with your non-dominant hand. And they totally look like owls, too! No way I would even consider that freehand--polka dots maybe. Perhaps you could give us a tutorial??
