I am an honest person. I don't want to tell everyone that I love something, just to have them go out and buy the product...knowing it will end in disappointment. I had high hopes for this color, I really did. Mint is very on-trend right now and it's a color I really love, so I was excited about trying this out.
The color looks nice on the nails, but it's more of an aqua blue than a mint. The problem was the consistency of the lacquer...it was not quite right. I'm not sure if it was the brush or the polish itself, but when I put it on it was uneven, clumpy and streaky. I know this is not the case with other NYC nail color, because I have used many in the past and loved them. Maybe I just got a weird one, I don't know. I might try using the polish with a different brush and see if that helps.
So...what's on your nails this week? Have you found any new nail polishes recently that you would recommend?

DeleteI have just bought a colour very similar to this and really love it! Even my boyfriend commented that it looked cool (I almost fell over!). Maybe you could try a new bottle - yours might have gone off? xx

ReplyDeleteMaybe if you ad a small amount of finger nail polish remover to the bottle to possible thin it out a bit, might help. I just bought a sally hansen polish that the color looks great, but same as yours. Thick and clumpy and would not apply right. I was disappointed that I had to wipe it off 3 seperate nails and start over...I will be trying the polish remover to mine...I heard that it will thin it out a bit, hope it works!!

ReplyDeleteI just got a similar color on my toes and I LOVE it! That's frustrating about the polish clumping. I've never had that happen with that brand before either. I bet you just got a bad bottle or something. You should send them a quick e-mail, maybe they'll replace it for you!
