This adorable maxi skirt was a recent purchase from Sears, as part of a sponsored post for Collective Bias. I love the pastel colors in the chevron print and I knew it would be a great addition to my summer wardrobe, because it can be worn with so many other pieces in my closet! I wanted to create a daytime look (perfect for running errands and spending time at the park), as well as an evening outfit (perfect for dinner and a movie with my husband).
Maxi Skirt: Sears (in-store), Scoopneck Tee: (Sears), Hat: boutique, Shoes: Target, Wrap Bracelet: made myself, Other Bracelets: gifts, Bag: c/o Lulus
Up first is my daytime look. Right now the weather in Utah is HOT...so when I'm out in the sunshine I don't want a lot of layers. This basic tee was another Sears style purchase. It's the perfect top, because it's lightweight and has just the right amount of coverage for my personal preference. A pair of comfortable sandals, a couple bracelets, a crossbody bag, and a hat complete the look. I could honestly wear a maxi skirt and t-shirt every single day and be happy!
Maxi skirt: Sears (in store), Lace Tank: LC Lauren Conrad, Denim Top: JCP, Shoes: Elle (old), Necklace: LC Lauren Conrad, Bracelet: c/o VeryJane
Next is my night-time look. Since the temperatures drop a bit in the evening, I wanted to add an extra layer to keep from getting too chilly. A denim shirt is such an easy solution...it isn't too heavy to where it makes you overheat and it can be easily removed if it does get too warm! I switched out the basic tee for a lace tank, to dress it up a bit. I also swapped the sandals for a pair of nude heels and added some dressier jewelry.
So...which look is your favorite? I have to say I love the simplicity and comfort of the day-time look!

I'm loving the soft colours in this maxi. Great idea to pair it with a chambray shirt for night, but there's something about the casualness of your day time outfit that looks so perfect. Nice styling Jenny!
